Is the career choice Paleontology bad for a “Family Man”?
Do Paleontologists spend months away from home? Where is the majority of their time spent? Geology and Paleontology have always fascinated me as a career choice, and I think about how a career will effect my future with the Woman I’m with.
They only spend a few weeks each year in the field. Anything more than that is rare. Most of the time they work either in the lab or in a classroom or museum. It shouldn’t affect your family life much.
